What people are saying…

“By now I can’t imagine to start my day without it. It gives me the right mind frame and something I can contemplate about for the rest of the day. I think I joined about 3 months ago. It gives me another tool to stay on the path. I can't thank you guys enough for your effort 🦉
— A.K., New Zealand/Germany
“This daily small dose of the Dhamma helps my immunity build-up for the longer texts. So often I get answers for my questions in the short passage from the sutta.”
— Vandana, USA
“Checking my email is a morning requirement. Having the words of the Buddha mixed in with all that communication allows me to take a moment for my practice, remember what is my true goal with this life, and express gratitude that I am in a life that allows me to receive the Dhamma in this convenient way.”
— P.S., United States
“I have been reading these emails for the past 2 years or so. I find them very inspiring. They consist of short passages from one of the suttas along with the explanation. They are very non-intrusive as the mail just drops in your inbox. I can read them whenever I want. They have also divided them by subject which adds to their value. A friend suggested that I subscribe to it and I am so grateful to her for this.”
— Archana, India
“I found this daily sutta very beneficial, to remind me a little bit of Dhamma everyday. Sometimes there are very long sutta to read, sometimes short ones, also every month there is a certain main theme that I do enjoy this way a lot. I feel grateful for my teacher who introduced me this site. I have been using it since 2022. I also share this with some friends of mine (recruited them to join this). So during our busy life, reading one piece of sutta everyday really helps keeping my saddha level up. Thank you.”
— Kamala, Tainan, Taiwan
“I find this daily sutta habit to be a much better way to start the day, rather than the doom and gloom of the daily news!”
— K.B., Dubai
“This is the email I look most forward to everyday. I don’t have much exposure to Buddhist scriptures and right now there is little opportunity for any in-depth studying or reading. But these short passages are so wonderful to read and often seems to provide just the right answer to some problem that has cropped up. Amazing! For example: The month with scriptures on family have given me so much guidance. I really am very grateful to the authors and managers of these emails and the Sutta websites for all that you are doing to spread the word of the Buddha. May your efforts reach all seekers of happiness and freedom. ”
— C.B., Sydney, Australia
“I’ve been reading the daily readings for about a year now. They’ve been an excellent support to practice and reflection. I especially like the thematic clustering. Even though most readings are quite short, by the time each month is out I feel like I’ve gotten a good overview of the topic. My favorite so far were the Māra readings. The mix in general is also supportive as I come in contact with readings and translations I might not have sought out myself.”
— Joshua, Germany
“The Daily Sutta emails provide a wonderful opportunity to get a bite sized slice of dhamma each day. I love how each month is organized around a theme, and I look forward to checking my inbox each evening as part of my daily routine.”
— Rob S., USA
“Strange but true, reading some suttas I feel like Buddha was speaking to me. It felt really comforting and assuring that I was not going mad. The worldling ways couldn’t uplift a grain of sand. Thankfully the Dhamma brought in fresh air, bringing in life. The daily emails are thoughtfully grouped, introducing other teachers’ translations and enhancing the Buddha’s Teachings. It is always exciting & heart-warming. This email has been the BEST GIFT ever, lighting a lamp in the dark. I was hesitant to sign up, maybe was just another quote. It was the best, life saving sign up of my life. Try it.”
— J., Msia
“I find the emails an encouraging way to keep up a daily reading habit of the Suttas. I have been subscribed for at least two years now and haven’t yet missed reading a day. I particularly like the organisation by monthly themes which at times helps me find my way. The emails themselves are always delightfully presented with links to other translations of the sutta if available which is really useful.”
— D.L., Spain.
“I have been reading the Sutta translations received daily with much joy and gratitude for over a year. I strongly advise as many people to join and read the Suttas daily as it is like the Buddha being close to you each day advising and reminding you of what has to be done. My deep reverence and gratitude goes out to the Venerable sender of the messages. On several occasions I have received help from the site in finding Suttas and answers to queries too. Thank you very much and much merit to you!!! May you attain all your spiritual aspirations in this very life.”
— Kumudini, Sri Lanka
