What people are saying…

F.A.Q.

What suttas will I be getting?

Suttas will be selected from the Dīgha Nikāya, Majjhima Nikāya, Samyutta Nikāya, Aṅguttara Nikāya, Kuddhakapāṭha, Dhammapada, Udāna, Itivuttaka, Sutta Nipāta, Vimānavatthu, Petavatthu, Theragātha, and Therīgāthā.

Are these really Buddha Quotes?

Absolutely! As you may know, the internet is filled with fake Buddha Quotes. There is no need to make things up when we have the original teachings of a fully enlightened Buddha still available to us.

How long will each email be?

Some emails may be very short—just a verse or two. Others may be a little longer, perhaps five to ten minutes. There will also be short passages from longer suttas with a link included so you can read the whole thing if you are interested.

Are these just random?

No. Each day’s sutta selection will be carefully curated by the creator of ReadingFaithfully.org. If you have a sutta that you like to share with the world, please suggest it using the contact form.

Will anyone be able to read these suttas?

Yes. We may not always understand everything about a passage that we read, but we can always gain confidence in the Buddha’s enlightenment even when we aren’t able to apply a particular teaching to our lives right away.

What translations will you be using?

Translations will mainly come from these websites:

I don’t really use email. Is there another way I can get the suttas?

Yes! The following social media platforms will publish each day’s sutta:
